Powering the Next Wave of Value Movement in the Agent Economy

How Kite is connecting AI agents to the digital asset ecosystem through programmable identity, authorization, and transaction infrastructure.

October 30, 2026

The blockchain industry has spent the past decade building the infrastructure for digital value movement.

Stablecoins have made money programmable. DeFi protocols have created open financial markets. Blockchain networks and interoperability solutions have made it possible to transfer and exchange assets across an increasingly connected ecosystem.

Now, a new category of economic participant is emerging: AI agents.

As agents become capable of executing increasingly complex tasks on behalf of users and businesses, they will need to interact with the same financial infrastructure that powers today's digital economy.

They will pay for services, exchange assets, access liquidity, execute financial strategies, and move value across applications and blockchain networks.

The next major opportunity for the digital asset industry is making this infrastructure accessible to autonomous agents.

Kite is focused on enabling that transition.

From Digital Value Movement to Agentic Value Movement

Today, most blockchain-based financial activity is initiated by people or applications operating within predefined workflows.

AI agents introduce a more dynamic model.

An agent can identify a need, select an appropriate financial service, and initiate a transaction as part of a broader objective. These activities may involve multiple protocols, assets, and networks.

The infrastructure to move value already exists. What is missing is a standardized way for agents to access it securely and operate within the permissions established by the users and businesses they represent.

This is the opportunity Kite is addressing.

Our goal is to make agentic value movement a native capability of the digital asset ecosystem, enabling agents to interact with existing financial infrastructure rather than requiring that infrastructure to be rebuilt.

Making the Digital Asset Ecosystem Agent-Ready

Kite is developing the infrastructure that connects autonomous agents to financial applications, protocols, and blockchain networks.

Kite Agent Passport provides programmable identity and authorization capabilities that allow users and businesses to define what agents can do, which services they can access, and under what conditions they can transact.

Through integrations with financial protocols and blockchain infrastructure, Kite aims to make these capabilities available across the broader ecosystem.

We want agents to be able to move value wherever the relevant assets, applications, and liquidity exist.

For DeFi protocols, this means opening existing financial services to agent-driven activity. For blockchain networks, it creates opportunities for additional transactions and ecosystem usage. For stablecoin providers, it expands the range of autonomous payment and financial workflows their assets can support.

Kite's role is to help connect these systems into a more accessible, programmable financial environment for agents.

Growing Economic Activity Across the Industry

We believe the success of agentic financial infrastructure should be measured by the economic activity it enables.

For Kite, that means focusing on the volume of payments and value movement supported by our infrastructure. Our priorities include expanding access to DeFi protocols, supporting a broader range of digital assets and financial transactions, and making it easier for developers to build agent-driven financial applications.

We see significant opportunity in working with the existing digital asset ecosystem to unlock new sources of demand and transaction activity.

Rather than competing to bring every transaction onto one blockchain, Kite is focused on enabling more transactions to happen across the industry.

This approach also shapes how we think about long-term ecosystem development. Our goal is to align network participants, developers, partners, and stakeholders with the sustained growth of agentic economic activity.

As one example of that commitment, Kite's team and investors have agreed to extend their existing KITE token lockups by twelve months. Allocations previously scheduled to begin unlocking in November 2026 will now begin unlocking in November 2027, with subsequent vesting releases shifted accordingly. Total token supply, individual allocations, and the underlying vesting structure remain unchanged.

Our long-term focus is on expanding the utility of Kite infrastructure and the economic activity it supports.

Building the Infrastructure for an Agent-Driven Economy

We believe AI agents will become an increasingly important source of activity across the digital asset industry.

They will interact with financial services, move stablecoins and other digital assets, and coordinate transactions across applications and networks.

The opportunity is not to create a separate financial ecosystem for agents. It is to make the existing ecosystem work for them.

That requires common infrastructure for identity, authorization, programmable controls, and transaction execution.

Kite is building those capabilities and working to make them available throughout the industry.

Our vision is to make Kite an essential part of how value moves in the agent economy, regardless of which network, asset, or application is involved.
